Our previous experience says that there are three dominant reasons why companies from BiH decide for "import and implementation" of the ISO standards.
1. To get the ISO certificate ISO, mostly from some western certification body, which is usually requested by some buyer
2. To set in order the situation inside the company, which is an ‘’uncommon case’’, when management estimates that the company is operating well, but the internal order is a weak side comparing to similar ones or others
3. Marketing reasons
4. A decision about ‘’adapting and implementing ’’ the ISO standards can be encouraged by some other reasons, starting from accepting the trend constituted by soft media campaign in the past couple of years in the BiH.
It can be said that the implementation of ISO 9001 has been overtaken initially by the large government systems in our country (school system, health system etc.), than by the large public companies, and slowly by many large state companies which consider this as question of challenge and the business tradition. But the circle is expanding to service industries, with more often inclusion of small and middle private companies.
